This site is a platform where selected non-professional photographers can publish their work. This site is not commercially driven, although we aim for professional quality.

Photo Quality

The real quality of the photos can not be accessed over the internet though copyright reason and bandwidth limitation. If you write a kind email to the photographer, you might be lucky and get a free high-resolution copy of the image.

Most of the photos are available in highest quality possible nowadays (20.5.2003).

This is:

• 14 Bit Color
• Minimal 6500x4000 Pixels resolution
• Professional digital camera or scanned on semi-professional Scanner

Digital Manipulation

In order to make the pictures suitable for web publication, the photos are post-processed according to the old-fashioned analog photo-laboratory. Unless mentioned otherwise in the pictures comment only the following Photoshop actions are used:

• Adjust Contrast and Brightness with Level-Adaption
• Remove Dust with Stamp
• Crop the image
• Color - Balance
• Color Saturation
